Things not allowed on blacksea
BlackSea lets you sell a wide range of digital products, but some goods and activities are prohibited — either by Ukrainian law or by our payment partners' requirements. We recommend that every new seller reviews this list so that their account stays within the rules.
The list below is not exhaustive and is not legal advice. The full terms are in the Terms of Service. If in doubt, consult a lawyer.
Third-party content and resale
You may only sell what you created yourself or what you have the rights to. The following is prohibited:
- reselling other people's products — e-books, courses, templates, presets, fonts, videos, etc. that you did not create;
- selling products under "resale rights" (PLR / MRR);
- pirated content and material that infringes copyright or related rights (Ukraine's Law "On Copyright and Related Rights");
- cracked software, license keys, Steam keys, accounts, and "hacks" for third-party services.
You can be an affiliate of another BlackSea seller — but not resell their product as your own.
Prohibited by Ukrainian law
You may not list or sell on BlackSea:
- material that promotes or justifies armed aggression against Ukraine, the aggressor state, or its symbols;
- content that incites hostility or calls for violence based on race, nationality, religion, gender, disability, sexual orientation, or age (Art. 161 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine);
- child pornography and any exploitation of children;
- weapons, ammunition, narcotics, psychotropic substances and their precursors, and other items restricted or removed from civil circulation;
- third parties' personal data without their consent (Ukraine's Law "On Personal Data Protection");
- fraudulent schemes, financial pyramids, "get-rich-quick" schemes;
- gambling, betting, and lotteries without the appropriate license;
- malware and tools for unauthorized access to information systems;
- counterfeit goods and services.
It is also prohibited to threaten a specific person, incite violence against a person or group, or disclose someone's private information without their permission.
High-risk products (payment partners' requirements)
Certain categories are prohibited due to a high likelihood of fraud and chargebacks. Common examples:
- IPTV subscriptions;
- products related to dropshipping;
- web hosting or servers;
- gift cards or financial instruments ("tokens", in-platform "currencies");
- event tickets, or using BlackSea to collect funds for offline events;
- "credit repair" services and similar financial promises.
Other restrictions
- Adult content (NSFW) — see the separate rules here.
- Physical goods that you did not create and have no rights to.
Consequences of a violation
Listing, promoting, or selling prohibited content is a violation of the Terms of Service.
- On a first violation, the product is removed, but you can continue using your account.
- On a repeat violation, the account may be blocked, and in cases provided for by the Terms (in particular, fraud) sales may be refunded to buyers.
