Adult content on blacksea

In this article:

In line with our payment partners' policies, we do not allow the sale of sexually explicit content.

What is sexually explicit content?

Sexually explicit content is media created with the primary purpose of sexual gratification — fetish content, media with characters depicted in sexual situations, or content explicitly created for arousal. If your products can be understood as being intended primarily for sexual purposes, then they cannot be sold on BlackSea.

To be clear, this includes all types of media: photographs, videos, animations, illustrations, written materials, audiobooks, and audio products. This may include, but is not limited to, products that contain...

  • 3D models or assets created for explicitly sexual purposes
  • Animated pornographic videos or animated nudity, or characters depicted in sexual situations
  • Fetish content where the purpose of the product is the customer's sexual gratification
  • Content related to financial domination
  • Sketches/artwork where the content's primary focus is sexual gratification
  • Lingerie or nudity videos where the state of undress is central to the video
  • Audio erotica or audio role-play
  • Adult comics with nudity or sexual acts
  • Cosplay/boudoir/explicit photography focused on sexually explicit poses or activities
  • Sexual coaching services or explicit instructional content intended for gratification rather than education
  • VR Chat avatars depicted in compromising or sexual poses, or avatars that advertise NSFW use or modifications such as "breast enlargement", where the purpose of such a modification is understood to be solely for arousal or part of an overall sexually explicit character. For further clarification, see below.

Selling NSFW work

Some adult content is allowed on BlackSea. For example, we can process sales for cosplay/pin-up creators whose content is focused more on cosplay than on erotic or nude photography that simply happens to include cosplay.

We encourage you to ask whether your content is acceptable under our terms of service if you have any doubts. If you are allowed to sell your work on BlackSea, you must mark it as NSFW:

  1. Go to your product's edit page
  2. Click "Share"
  3. Scroll to the "Discover" section
  4. Turn on the toggle indicating that the product is for adults only

This ensures that your content is only shown to customers who agree to view adult content. Label your products responsibly!

Previous purchases

If you have sold NSFW products in the past on BlackSea, those sales won't be affected by changes to these policies. Your customers' libraries will remain intact.

Is my product NSFW?

To determine whether your product is considered NSFW, it may help to ask yourself:

"Does the average customer buy this product because it is presented in a sexually appealing way?"

If the answer is yes, your product is probably NSFW. Of course, it's all subjective, and while we understand that some people may find chairs sexually appealing, that doesn't mean a Herman Miller 3D model will be flagged as NSFW. The overall context of the product decides whether it's NSFW.

For example, if you have a VR Chat Avatar product that includes a breast-enlargement modification, it won't necessarily be considered NSFW. However, if that character is also depicted in revealing clothing, or in lingerie, or in sexually compromising poses and offers a breast or buttock modification, we will consider it NSFW. Not because of the modification option, but because overall the product is presented as being created primarily for sexual gratification.

In short: if you have questions about your products, please don't hesitate to write to us!

Am I getting paid?

If your account or products are flagged as NSFW content, you still get paid for your sales. We will stop sales of the relevant products (or of your account, if all products are NSFW), but as long as the content itself is not illegal and the sales are not fraudulent, we will absolutely pay out your balance.
