Payout delays

Payouts usually arrive weekly (how payouts work). Sometimes they can be delayed — the reasons are below. If your payout is delayed by more than a week, email us.

Reason 1: Your account hasn't been reviewed yet

When you sell on BlackSea, we accept payment and take on the legal and financial responsibility for settlements. This is a core part of BlackSea: we deal with the bank and payment systems ourselves so you can focus on creating.

To work with you, we have to make sure your products are legitimate and safe to sell. For this we need data about your sales: confirmation that the products are real, that customers receive what they paid for, and that the sales don't raise concerns with our payment partners. The list of prohibited products is in our guidelines.

Once we confirm this, we mark the account as "compliant" and begin paying out your funds.

Your account may still be under review because we don't have enough data yet. For example:

  • you don't have enough sales yet;
  • some sales look suspicious from a risk standpoint;
  • the sales are not real (for example, you're buying your own products);
  • all sales are to the same person;
  • it's unclear what exactly customers are paying for.

How to check: if you see a message on the balance page that the account is under review — the review is ongoing.

What to do: make another 2–3 sales, then email us for clarification. We can't speed up the review, but we'll answer your questions.

Reason 2: An issue with your bank account

We may be trying to send funds to your account, but they aren't going through. You may have entered incorrect details in your payout settings (for example, a wrong IBAN).

What to do: email us — we'll check.

Reason 3: An issue with your account

In this case, you probably received an email from us saying we couldn't pay you. This happens due to security, compliance, or a problem with your payout settings. There's usually nothing to worry about.

What to do: email us — we'll check.

Reason 4: An issue with verification

Payouts may be paused if you haven't completed identity or sole proprietor (ФОП) verification. Check the payout settings page to see what's missing.

Reason 5: Today might not be your payout day

Creators often ask why they didn't receive a payout, even though the funds weren't due today.

As noted in "Getting paid", we pay out for sales made up to Friday. For example:

  • sales from June 1–7 are paid out on Friday, June 8;
  • sales from June 8–14 are paid out on Friday, June 15.

Reason 6: Your sales are not real (or made by you)

Another reason to get stuck in review is buying your own products. We understand you might do this to "test" payment or to boost a product on Discover, but purchases made by the creator are not considered real sales and are not paid out. Such transactions break payment-system rules, so we cancel them when we find them.

Only sales to real customers count and are paid out. To get paid, focus on real sales to real customers.
